Lynette Lim, Director & Co-CEO, Phillip Capital Inc.
Lynette Lim co-founded Phillip Futures Inc. in 2010 and is a Director and Co-CEO. Prior to these roles, Lynette worked for the PhillipCapital group of companies for 9 years. While there she managed an IT group that developed internal projects as well as customer projects in the financial industry. She also managed the development of POEMS which was the first online stock trading system in Singapore and launched in 1996.Other roles at PhillipCapital include supporting the private equity team while based in California from 2007-2010 on due diligence and searches for new deals.
Lynette speaks English, Mandarin (Chinese), and Cantonese. She received a bachelor’s degree in computer systems engineering with honor from Warwick University in England and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Lynette is the oldest daughter of the PhillipCapital Group founder and Chairman Lim Hua Min. Lynette holds licenses including 3, 34, 7, and 24
Chris Edmonds, Senior Vice President, Financial Markets, Intercontinental Exchange
Chris Edmonds is Senior Vice President, Financial Markets at Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE). In this role he oversees the development of initiatives within ICE's OTC financial markets, including Creditex, ICE Link and ICE Swap Trade. Since February of 2010 Edmonds served as President of ICE Clear Credit, ICE’s wholly-owned credit default swap (CDS) clearing house. As president of ICE Clear Credit, Edmonds was responsible for ICE's North American credit derivatives clearing operations.
Prior to joining ICE, Edmonds was Chief Executive Officer of the International Derivatives Exchange Group (IDCG) a clearing house for interest rate swaps. Prior to IDCG, Edmonds was the Chief Development Officer for ICAP Energy. Edmonds held a variety of positions at ICAP between 2002 and 2008, and at APB Energy between 1997 and 2002. His professional career prior to APB Energy focused on advising businesses on strategic planning in the areas of technology, sales and marketing and operations.
Christopher Lee, Senior Vice President, Client & Marketing Services, Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing
As Senior Vice President of Partners, Chris is responsible for the international development and management of the market maker client base and building strategic relationships with international industry associations and technology providers to drive business growth, across all asset classes.Chris joined HKEX in 2015 and brings over 25 years of financial services development, leadership and management expertise to the company. Chris joined HKEX from ABN AMRO Clearing NV where he was most recently the Global Head of Execution Services, responsible for developing and managing global execution services providing infrastructure and trading services across equities, derivatives, commodities and FX. Prior to this, Chris held a number of sales trading positions with BARCLAYS Capital, NatWest markets and was managing director for a large electronic trading provider in the UK.
Gaurang Desai, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange
Gaurang Desai, Chief Executive Officer of the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX), has been a founding team member of DGCX since its inception in 2005. A derivatives market specialist with two decades of experience in handling variety of senior roles. Gaurang has been at the helm of operations since the inception of DGCX in November 2005. Prior to this engagement, Gaurang was involved in market structure development initiatives in areas such as Commodities, Equities, Securities depository and B2B online marketplaces with the National Stock Exchange of India, National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange and Reliance Group.
Gaurang brings unparalleled experience in the areas of market design, risk management, clearing & settlement and operational competence for a demutualized electronic exchange. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, his mission is to making DGCX the market of choice in MENA region by continuously bringing global best practices to DGCX.
Hidefumi Moriyama, Senior Manager of Global Business Development Department, Tokyo Commodity Exchange
Hidefumi Moriyama joined the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) in 2008 and has been assigned to the Global Business Development Department of the Exchange for the past seven years.
Prior to his hiring at TOCOM, he worked as a salesperson of Financial Futures & Options products for several US and European securities firms in Tokyo, covering both domestic and offshore products for both domestic and foreign clients.
Since joining TOCOM, he has widely been engaged in the international activities of the Exchange, making use of his knowledge of the marketplace and futures products acquired throughout his career.
Matthias Rietig, Senior Officer, Osaka Exchange, Inc.-Japan Exchange Group, General Manager, Chief Representative of Singapore Branch
Rama Pillai is Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of Sales for Singapore Exchange (SGX). His responsibilities cover the marketing and sales of all SGX products and services to Members and Clients. It also includes the management of all business relationships with SGX broking members and Key Institutional Clients. He works with the respective SGX Business Units to grow the Exchange’s Derivatives, Commodities and Securities business lines. He represents SGX at several international forums and industry associations and is currently a Board Member of FIA Asia.
Rama has been with the SGX for over 25 years during which time his several responsibilities cover the Marketing, Business Development and Product Development efforts for the Exchange’s derivatives and securities business.
Dr. Rinjai Chakornpipat, CFA, Executive Vice President, Stock Exchange of Thailand, Managing Director, Thailand Futures Exchange
Dr. Rinjai Chakornpipat, CFA is an Executive Vice President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) taking care of derivatives and equity product trading and development. She is also the Managing Director of Thailand Futures Exchange, a subsidiary of SET group. Prior join SET, she served as Senior Executive Vice President of Retail Business at Maybank Kim Eng Securities (Thailand) Public Company Limited, the biggest brokerage house in Thailand.
Dr. Rinjai was originally one of the team leaders who established Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX) in 2004.She has extensive experience in the Thai capital market in various aspects such as product & business development, sales and marketing, international relations in both securities and derivatives markets. She also has experience in portfolio management and securities analysis. She earned a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and doctoral degree in business administration from Cleveland State University, United States, after graduating with an MBA from Chulalongkorn University and bachelor of business administration from Thammasat University.
Suresh Maniam Mookiah, Senior Vice President, Business Development, Bursa Malaysia Derivatives
Suresh Maniam, heads the Business Development Division of Bursa Malaysia Derivatives (BMD), has been instrumental in bringing in high volume traders and individual Local traders to trade on the Malaysian derivatives market.
He started his career in the Bursa Malaysia Depository, which operates as a subsidiary of Bursa Malaysia Berhad. He brings with him 20 years of Exchange experience in the equities and derivatives market after he has held various senior positions within the Exchange including as a project manager in developing the Electronic Trading Platform for bonds.
These experiences allowed Suresh to be a core team member in negotiation with CME in a series of strategic partnership agreements that involve three collaborative aspects which include equity participation, licensing of the BMD crude palm oil futures (FCPO) settlement price and the provision of CME Globex services. Today, all existing BMD’s products are transferred to CME Globex which offers unparalleled global distribution.
